Rebooting a node is a simple process that can help resolve certain issues and ensure optimal performance. In this step-by-step guide, we will walk you through the process of rebooting a node. Follow these instructions carefully to correctly reboot your node and get it back up and running again.
1. Open the Sensor Tray:
- Locate the sensor tray on the node.
- Find the thumb tab on the tray and turn it counter clockwise to unlock the tray.
(Open the sensor tray by turning the tab counter clockwise)
2. Pull Down the Tray:
-
- Identify the small plastic tab towards the rear of the unit.
- Using this tab, gently pull down on the tray. Avoid pulling the tray down by tugging on the sensor cables or antenna.
3. Switch Off the Power:
-
- Once the tray is open, locate the small silver power switch.
- Flip the power switch to the OFF position.
- Wait for approximately 20 seconds to allow the node to fully power down.
(Node on/off switch. Currently in an off position.)
4. Power On the Node:
- After the waiting period, switch the power switch back to the ON position.
- As the node powers up, you should hear a beep, indicating that it is restarting.
(Power switched on)
By following these steps, you should be able to successfully reboot your node.
This process helps restart the node's system and resolves minor issues that may have occurred. Remember to exercise caution when handling the sensor tray and avoid pulling on the cables or antenna.
