We've upgraded our weather and location selectors and enhanced the 14-day forecast. You'll notice changes in the location selector, aimed at improving usability and clarity. Explore the updates below to see how they improve your app experience. 

Weather Condition Selector

Why is the weather condition picker different? We have updated the weather condition picker due to design considerations and user feedback.

What does it mean for users? The functionality of selecting weather conditions remains unchanged, but the appearance has been adjusted. The size of the popup window is smaller, which provides a slightly different visual experience.

What does it look like?

• Previous Design: The weather condition picker was larger in size.
   
• New Design: The new picker is smaller, reacts faster, and may flash briefly when a condition is selected.

Weather Location Selector

Why is the location selector compacted? To reduce empty spaces and improve readability.

What does it mean for users? Users can now view more locations at once without the need to scroll extensively.

What does it look like?

• Previous Design: Larger spaces between text and locations, requiring more scrolling.
   
• New Design: Larger font and closer proximity between locations, reducing the need for scrolling.

14-Day Weather Forecast

Why is the 14-day weather forecast compacted? To minimise blank space and enhance font size for easier reading.

What does it mean for users? Users can now see more days of the forecast without excessive scrolling.

What does it look like?

• Comparison: Smaller font and larger rows requiring more scrolling versus larger font and more compact rows, making it easier to read.

Recommendations Information Page

We’ve made some updates to the Recommendations Information page - a new settings page - to improve usability and overall functionality.

One of the new design features is the updated tile layout. While the tiles currently do not automatically resize based on their content, this change allows for clearer visual separation between each recommendation with the new borders. This makes it easier for you to distinguish between different recommendations at a glance.

For recommendations with multiple conditions (like Codling Moth), you may find that scrolling within the tile is necessary. This design ensures that all relevant information is accessible without cluttering the display.
