Both the Next 7 Days and the 14 Day Gridded Weather view offer valuable weather insights. Both are an excellent source of information for making impactful decisions around irrigation, spraying and harvest. There are some differences between them however, which include:
Next 7 Days
The recommendations tailored to your site(s) are displayed in the Next 7 Days view. You can read more about recommendations here: Recommendations explained.
For our MCSS and Davis customers, this page uses The Yield's microclimate weather observations to show predictions on your site(s) for the Next 7 Days. These values can be different to the ones displayed in the 14 Day Gridded Weather view.
Past 7 Days
You can also review the Past 7 Days data that offers historical weather information across various weather conditions, similar to the Next 7 days view.
Gridded Weather
For our customers using the 14 Day Gridded Weather, this view will display hourly predictions using weather inputs from our third party gridded weather provider, The Weather Company.
The grid icon at the bottom panel in the app takes you to our gridded weather feature, where at a glance, you can easily check and compare summarised weather conditions such as Temperature, Precipitation, Wind and Humidity.
Gridded weather uses predictive weather data modelled on a grid of approximately 70km2 - your site is assigned to the appropriate weather grid for your location.
For more information on 14 Day Gridded Weather please see - 14 day Gridded Weather Forecasts - Enhancements.
